Environmental Engineering & Technologies Laboratory
Five specialised teams covering the full spectrum from clean energy to environmental safety. · Mila, Algeria
EETL
Research areas
The laboratory’s research is organised around six complementary domains: (1) energy systems and renewable energies, including magnetohydrodynamic flows, solar technology and energy efficiency; (2) nanotechnology and nanosciences, covering the elaboration and characterisation of nanostructures (STM/AFM); (3) hydrology and water resources, notably the impact of climate change, floods and droughts, using GIS and remote sensing; (4) natural disaster prevention and urban resilience, focusing on seismic risk, landslides and vulnerability assessment; (5) thermal engineering and heat transfer, in particular nanofluids and the optimisation of solar collectors; and (6) numerical modelling and simulation (DFT, CFD, finite element methods and machine learning) (EETL, 2026).
