Application for Five-Star Student Certificate is Now Open

Latest Updates: Opening of the Application Period for the Five-Star Student Certificate. The Deputy Director of the University for Pedagogy announces the reopening of the application platform for the "Five-Star Student" category. Interested students must submit their applications through the platform at the following link: http://cinqetoile.univ-alger.dz by June 25, 2026. Note: Students who have previously registered must resubmit their applications again through the platform after reviewing the criteria for obtaining the Five-Star Student certificate. Application Conditions: - The student must be registered in the 2025/2026 academic year at the University of Algiers 1 (it is necessary to submit a school certificate). - The application is open to students of the University of Algiers 1 at the end of their academic career (third year of license or second year of master's). - The application is open to the top three students in the specialty (a certificate of ranking signed by the head of the department). - The following students cannot apply: - Student interns for the year. - Students undergoing reintegration. - Students subject to disciplinary punishment (it is necessary to submit a certificate of good conduct and behavior). Criteria for Obtaining the "Five-Star Student" Certificate: - The First Star: Distinguished Academic Performance: One of the top three in the specialty, with the applicants ranked according to criteria set by the selection committee. - The Second Star: Proximity to the Institution: Study of cases within institutions related to aspects relevant to the student's training. Mini-enterprise/project. Submission of a patent application or obtaining a patent. Labeling of an innovative project. Certificate of trademark registration. - The Third Star: Development of Personal and Cultural Skills: Foreign languages, computer science, quality tools, business management, sports and cultural practices, intellectual games, organization of lectures followed by discussions on social topics. Participation in scientific meetings (oral intervention by the student or poster). Winning a scientific, sports, or cultural competition. - The Fourth Star: Distance Learning or Mobile Education: Either through intensive online courses (MOOC) or any other online means, ERASMUS program, academic mobility mainly directed towards the southern part of the country. - The Fifth Star: Integration and Social Commitment.
